Members from the business development team at Profound Technologies, an audio-visual integration company, attended the Enterprise Connect conference to experience the energy firsthand by meeting with other professionals face-to-face, participating in interactive panel discussions and exploring the Expo Hall with product demonstrations on new innovative technology advancements that are transforming the way we conduct business.
Here are few product announcements highlighted at Enterprise Connect specifically from Microsoft Teams and Zoom platforms:
Microsoft Teams IntelliFrame Features
At Enterprise Connect 2024, Microsoft Teams shared ways to make hybrid work easier and the overall Teams Rooms ecosystem more supportive of seamless meeting experiences. Microsoft Teams announced two new features to their IntelliFrame for a more inclusive video experience to bridge the gap between in-room and remote experiences.
Automatic camera switching will ensure remote attendees to have a better view of faces in the room, even in a crowded room. This feature uses Cloud AI to identify the optimal view of each participant in the room from any available compatible video source, including Microsoft Teams intelligent cameras and laptop cameras. This new feature is scheduled to be available in the upcoming months.
Multiple camera views will soon have the power to follow all the action in the room. Remote participants will be able to manually toggle between views to effectively help them follow the flow of the meeting, whether they choose a view of the presenter, someone sketching at a whiteboard or other attendees.
Microsoft Teams has many other new exciting features coming, including expansion of speaker recognition and transcript attribution via intelligent speakers and existing speakers extending to BYOD spaces and Teams Rooms on Android later this year.
Zoom Workspace with AI Companion
Zoom Workplace with Zoom AI Companion was originally launched in September 2023 and designed to help with productivity by enhancing the quality of work and providing more work efficiency. AI Companion summarizes meetings and chat threads, helps brainstorm ideas on whiteboards, and composes chats and email drafts in a few seconds.
At Enterprise Connect 2024, Zoom announced their new Ask AI Companion, a new feature built right into AI Companion and Zoom Workplace. Ask AI Companion will be able to gather, synthesize, and share critical information from multiple sources across the Zoom platform and from select third-party applications.
Ask AI Companion is expected to be available in May 2024 and will continue to be included at no additional cost with the paid services in Zoom user accounts. Planned for later this year, Ask AI Companion will also soon be able to work with information from relevant assets in supported third-party apps, including Microsoft and Google productivity suites.
